Have you ever wished you could run a 5K? Or maybe you’d just like to walk those 3.1 miles without getting out of breath? Ever thought about trying one of the “couch to 5K” training programs? Just want some accountability and companionship to stick to a New Year’s fitness resolution?
This class is for you! The Run for God 5K Challenge is a 12-week BEGINNER 5K training that will help you complete your first 5k, even if you’ve never run before. You DO NOT have to be a runner to participate. Walkers are welcome to join us, as well as experienced runners!
Each week we learn something that will help equip us to become runners, as well as something that will equip us to learn to live like Jesus. At the end, we’ll do a 30-minute group run/walk.
The class will meet at 7:30 every Saturday morning rain or shine at Webster Hills United Methodist Church in the Great Hall of the Christian Life Center. Just look for the signs – you can’t miss it. You DO NOT have to be a member or regularly attend worship at Webster Hills to participate. This class is open to everyone ages 6 and up, and all fitness levels. If needed, childcare for those 5 and under will be provided for a small fee, but strollers are welcome if you want to bring the littles along for the group run/walk portion of the class.
