Sunday School 9:00-10:00am
We have a devoted team of staff and volunteers who plan and lead each week. They find ways to bring a child’s view of God, the world and themselves into the class time. Each week is built around a key Bible story and provides a “Bottom Line” message for the children to learn and understand. Learning continues into the week through the information we provide parents. These “Parent Cues” help them connect the lessons to life at home.
Check-in for Sunday School begins at 8:45am. We’ll make sure your child is headed to the right class and can help escort them if you would like. If you are new, we’ll help you find a classroom. Enter the Education Wing through the double glass doors on West Lockwood/east side of Berry Rd. and our welcome team will be ready to greet you.
We meet our youngest children where they are in their development. With that in mind, we help preschool children understand three simple ideas: God made me; God love me: Jesus wants to be my friend forever. We
Classes are divided by age group. We offer lessons that reinforce these basics: I need to make the wise choice; I can trust God no matter what; I should treat others the way I want to be treated. Each group uses age appropriate activities each week to help them learn God’s story and see how it affects their lives.
It’s About Caring
From Sunday School to preschool to special events, children are loved and valued here at Webster Hills UMC. Children are involved in all parts of our life together. They learn about God and Jesus in Sunday School, learn about worship in Children’s Choir and are welcome to be alongside their parents in worship or to enroll in nursery care (birth-age 5). For your child’s safety and your peace of mind we screen our teachers and ministry volunteers and provide teacher training throughout the year.
