We at Webster Hills believe it is our responsibility to bring God's love to the world, not only through Word, but especially through action! That is why we have multiple groups that carry out missions here in the St. Louis area, the United States, and the world at large. Check out the multiple options below! Volunteers in Mission (VIM) It is a response to Jesus’ call, “Follow me and I will teach you to be fishers of men, women, and children.” Since 1995 Webster Hills has sent short term mission teams throughout the St. Louis area and the world. Types of teams range from visitation, medical and construction, to youth, family and adults. Contact Tom Bacon for more information. Hands In Mission (H.I.M.)Hands In Mission (H.I.M.) is a local monthly mission opportunity here in the St. Louis area. Teams go out one Saturday a month, leaving Webster Hills at 8:00 a.m. and returning by noon. Webster Hills has become known for its H.I.M. teams throughout the St. Louis area by the institutions and agencies that it assists. This ministry is easy to do. There are no committees, no sign-ups - just show up in the CLC parking lot on the scheduled Saturday morning. Last year the project was for one week in El Paso, Texas. In the past years, teams have helped on building projects in Juarez and Pitorreal, Mexico and in Pushkin, Russia. In 2001, a team went to Haiti to assist in a church building project. Webster Hills also has had a convenant relationship with Matola UMC In Mozambique since 1998. More details of our mission support for our sister churches in Russia and in Mozambique are detailed below: Bethany United Methodist Church - Pushkin, RussiaWebster Hills UMC has had a supportive relationship with Bethany United Methodist Church in Pushkin, Russia since 1994. Pastor Andre Pupko, his wife, Lyuba and daughter, Maria, are supported through a covenant with Webster Hills UMC. Pushkin is a suburb of St. Petersburg and two mission teams from Webster Hills worked there in 1995 and 1997. Since that time, Webster Hills has taken the lead in raising funds for Bethany UMC to build a church building. During the first six years of existence, the congregation had to move from rented or donated facilities six times. Each time the congregation would lose about 30% of its membership.
